Our commitment

A large share of this site's visitors are over 55. That is not an accessibility edge case — it is the core audience. So accessibility here is a design requirement rather than a compliance afterthought.

What that means concretely

• Body text is set at 17px with generous line spacing, above the typical 16px default
• Every interactive control is at least 48×48px — comfortably tappable without precision
• Color contrast meets or exceeds WCAG 2.2 AA throughout, in both light and dark modes
• The whole site is navigable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator on every control
• Semantic HTML landmarks and headings so screen readers announce structure correctly
• All meaningful images carry alternative text; decorative ones are hidden from assistive tech
• Motion respects the operating system's reduce-motion setting
• The layout reflows to 320px and to 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling
• Forms use real labels, not placeholder text standing in for them

Standard

This site is built to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Type is set larger than the usual minimum, every control is at least 48 pixels, color contrast is checked in both light and dark themes, and the whole site can be operated from a keyboard.

How it is tested

Every page is checked automatically against the WCAG 2.2 A and AA rules before it goes out, in both the light and the dark theme, and no page is published with a serious or critical finding. Automated testing cannot catch everything — it cannot tell you whether a heading is worded clearly or whether a form makes sense — so it sits alongside checks done by hand rather than replacing them.
